Jenna Klimchak
Artist based in Northern Virginia
I am interested in seeking narratives among ambiguity in my paintings. My work emerges from a layering process that involves a variety of media and collage. The layers build upon each other to tell stories and evoke curiosity.

One of the founding members of ValeArts, Jenna has painted in many different mediums and styles over the years. Her artistic explorations from realistic to abstract paintings in a variety of media, have produced an imaginative, refined style that is uniquely her own.
Jenna was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. After moving to the United States in the 1980s, she pursued her longtime interest in art by studying painting and drawing under William Christenberry and Steve Cushner at the Corcoran College of Art and George Mason University. Jenna is inspired by art and people from around the world, and over the past few years she has participated in print-making workshops at the Skop Art Center in Skopelos, Greece.
Jenna’s paintings have been shown in various juried shows and exhibitions, including group shows at the Korean and Italian embassies in Washington, DC, Great Falls Studio, and McLean Art Fest in northern Virginia.
Her international exhibitions include group shows at the Galeria Rina Bouwen in Madrid and Cordoba, Spain; “Pont des Arts”, Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, Japan; and Skop art Center in Skopelos, Greece.
